Greater Hemp is a brand entirely made by me to test the CBD market. I did all market research, mood boards, logo & branding, labels, and website design. My goal with Greater Hemp is to A/B test a brand that doesn’t have “CBD” on the label, and instead uses “hemp extract” against our house brand, CBD Universe. My goal is to utilize more online advertising revenue from a brand that’s eye catching and will not get flagged by Facebook or Google Ads - broadening our reach.
By essentially Private Labeling our own house brand, Greater Hemp capitalizes on CBD Universe’s inventory and markets it to a completely new user audience in digital space that our other brands have been prohibited from entering. Google and Facebook (the duopoly) have flagged our other brand’s efforts to advertise because of the prevalence of the word ”CBD” in the URL.
Greaterhemp.com may be in-progress, but it’s already gaining traffic with zero advertising thanks to my optimized SEO and metadata implemented from the start. From downsized images to best practices in file naming and keyword research, I build websites that Google loves.
I am a rare breed of marketing designer that can actually improve brand’s search rankings on my own, without needing to hire contractors or vendors.
Greater Hemp will also test the waters for other hemp-derivatives in ways that CBD Universe couldn’t. We are already seeing good traction with the packaging and product selection.
