Katrina first helped create these patterns as part of Margot Elena's first fabric collection for Free Spirit Fabrics: Neptune & The Mermaid. She edited each pattern one detailed piece at a time (the image above has hundreds of layers!) to look perfect on elegant packaging designs.
The TokyoMilk fabric line, Neptune & The Mermaid, took months of detailed expertise between Margot and Katrina handing files back & forth to each other in seamlessly collaborative harmony. The result was a unique collection that was instantly popular in the sewing world.
In Spring 2017, Neptune & The Mermaid was launched as a TokyoMilk fragrance line of three scents. The gilded packaging reflects days Katrina spent re-working patterns to get each goldfish, flower, and mermaid in exactly the right spot. Working closely with our New Product Development Manager for sourcing structures, Katrina is highly skilled in creating best-selling product designs.
